5-Day Northern Vietnam Discovery: Hanoi, Sapa & Ha Long Bay

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Overnight Train to Sapa

Arrival in Hanoi: Pick-up from the airport and transfer to the Old Quarter.

Free Time: Explore Hanoi at your leisure.

Evening Transfer: 9:00 PM transfer to the train station for your overnight journey to Sapa. The train departs at 10:00 PM

Day 2: Sapa – Cat Cat & Sin Chai Village (B, L, D)

Arrival in Sapa: Early morning pick-up from the train station and transfer to Sapa by a shared tourist bus.

Early Check-In: Early check-in at your hotel (subject to availability). If the room is unavailable, a basic room will be provided for a shower.

Village Exploration: 9:30 AM - Start your trip with a 3 km walk to explore Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages, known for their H’mong culture and French colonial history.

Highlights: Visit the Hydropower station, Cat Cat waterfall, and learn about traditional crafts like weaving and silver carving.

Return to Sapa: Walk 4 km back to Sapa.

Dinner: Enjoy dinner at the hotel at 6:30 PM or 7:00 PM.

Overnight: Stay at Golden Villa Hotel.

Day 3: Fansipan Mountain by Cable Car -Ha Noi (B, L)

Morning: Breakfast and check-out by 8:00 AM.

Fansipan Peak: Drive 3 km to the cable car station for your visit to Fansipan Peak, the highest in Vietnam and Indochina.

Highlights: Enjoy panoramic views, visit the temple, and see the highest Buddha statue.

Return: Descend by cable car and return to Sapa by car.

Afternoon: Time to shower and explore Sapa town before your departure.

Departure: Limousine car departs from Sapa at 2:30-3:00 PM.

Arrival in Hanoi: Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi around 9:30 PM.

Day 4: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (B, L, D)

Morning: 8:00 - 8:30 AM - Pick-up from your hotel.

Transfer: Arrive at Tuan Chau International Cruise Port by 11:30 - 12:00 PM.

Board Amanda Cruise: Enjoy a welcome drink and lunch as you cruise towards Luon Cave.

Activities: Kayaking or rafting in Luon Cave, visit Titop Island, sunset party, cooking class, and evening activities like foot baths, bamboo dancing, and squid fishing.

Overnight: Stay anchored in a quiet area on the cruise.

Day 5: Ha Long Bay – Transfer to Airport (B, L)

Morning: 6:15 AM Tai Chi class on the sundeck, followed by a light breakfast.

Sung Sot Cave: Explore the cave at 7:30 AM.

Relax: Sunbathe, shop for souvenirs, and relax on board.

Check-Out: 9:30 AM check-out and early lunch buffet at 10:00 AM.

Disembark: Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina by 11:00 AM and transfer back to Hanoi.

Transfer to Airport: Arrive in Hanoi's Old Quarter by 3:00-3:30 PM and transfer to the airport for your departure.
